Hi there everyone,
I'd like to just journal a bit to get some thoughts out there. When I first started writing this blog (and started a youtube channel) I named it bestmekimb thinking that it meant for me at the time - being the best me-- on the outside. My hair, nails, makeup, body and clothes is really what I was thinking about at the time. I followed in the footsteps of other bloggers and vloggers- I showed things I had bought, I showed my décor and organized my house. That's all it meant. Outward appearances.
Today, I think of it differently. Bestmekimb now means- accepting myself. Loving my naked no makeup face, loving my natural graying hair, feeding my body healthy food and exercising not so I can look good in a bikini, but so that I can keep swimming when I'm 90.-- it's how I treat people, its keeping myself calm by meditating and healing from past wounds.
It's all about the inside. Hair, nails, makeup and clothes styles and this body will eventually fade away-- but my soul-- the life of my being-- how I touched peoples lives--- that will live on forever.
